Lancashire Granite Ltd, established in a purposely re-fitted and fully equipped facility in Leyland, aspires to become a market leader in providing bespoke products to satisfy the increasing appetite for granite surfaces in the home and the workplace. Drawing on over 25 years of in-house experience in the bathroom and kitchen fitting sectors and with a wide skill-base ranging from the traditional craft of the stonemason to the cutting edge technology of computer-aided design they are ideally placed to become a leading light in this rapidly expanding market.

The Company aims to provide a complete ‘one-stop’ solution to all customer enquiries, both trade and retail: from the initial supply of unprocessed granite and templating the proposed design to customer’s precise specifications, through to the cutting and finishing of the granite and the final delivery and installation of the completed product. To achieve this they are looking to source granite from locations as diverse as Norway and China - where they are in regular, personal contact with local quarries - thus securing both continuity of supply and consistency of quality. It is intended that the expansion of such import operations will not only present the customer with a greater range and calibre of granite but will also, of course, prove more cost effective to the customer in the long-term.

Teams of mobile templaters ensure a rapid response to enquiries with on-the-spot guidance and recommendations as to how best to satisfy the customer’s wants, be it a granite kitchen worktop, bathroom suite, nightclub bar-top or boardroom table. State-of-the art computer-controlled cutting and finishing machinery can fashion a myriad angles and refinements from the material, so that the finished product is truly a physical embodiment of the customer’s own vision.

Specialist fitters then deliver and install the finished product at a time convenient to the customer, and are on hand to provide expert advice on after-sale care and treatment of the product, given the customers individual circumstances.

Once perceived as the exclusive domain of the privileged few, advances in technologies and practices coupled with product development – the next generation of which include granite radiator covers and ‘stone art’ - now mean that granite surfaces appeal to a wider consumer base.

Recognising this, approachability appears to be Lancashire Granite’s watchword.
